Imam-e-Kaaba to deliver sermon on JUI-F centennial celebration


NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, while addressing a large gathering in Aza-Khel, said, the incidents of terrorism and those taking place as a result of extremism are increasing.

A large group congregated from across the globe to celebrate 100 years of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).

Camps were set up at the ground in Azakhel area of Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The imam of Kaaba, Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, has come from Saudi Arabia for the occasion with a 10-member delegation.

The members of JUI from America, London and other parts of the world attended the gathering.

The celebrations would take place from April 7 to April 9 for which the imam of Kaaba arrived in Peshawar on Thursday.

The imam and Saudi Arabia religious affairs minister were warmly welcomed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Federal Minister forReligious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and Fazl upon arriving at Bacha Khan International Airport.

JUI chief Fazl-ur-Rehman invited the imam of Kaaba to visit and attend the centennial celebrations. The former is likely to deliver the sermon and lead Friday prayer.

Four million people are expected to attend the celebration according to a spokesperson of JUI.
