Parliament not taken on board on matter of Kulbhushan: Khursheed Shah

By: Online

Islamabad: Opposition leader Khursheed Shah has said that prime minister has not taken parliament into confidence on matter of Kulbhushan Yadav.

“What punishment has been awarded to Kulbhushan Yadav is awarded to spies under Pakistan Army Act. Government should tell the world that what Pakistan has done it has done legally and constitutionally,” Khursheed said this while talking to media men on Tuesday.

“We convene Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting as per the schedule and today its meeting was also held. Auditor General Pakistan (AGP) has not been appointed as yet. This appointment should have been made forthwith. This is a constitutional position and it should not be kept vacant. Someone should have been inducted immediately,” he remarked.

“We ascertained has the president appointed someone temporarily on this post. We came to know it was not done so. Had the meeting taken place without AGP today then its legal position could have been challenged,” he added.
