JICA reps visit TEVTA headquarters, meet TEVTA chief

Punjab CM satisfied over TEVTA’s performance, says Sahabzada Khusro
LAHORE: The representatives of Japenese International Corporation Agency (JICA) on Tuesday visited the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Institute secretariat and held a detailed meeting with the TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh.

The delegation also had exchange of views and discussion on ongoing and future plans of cooperation. TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh thanked JICA delegation for their continuous cooperation and being the only organization that has particularly delivered to the technical education and vocational training sector of Pakistan.

The TEVTA chairperson further discussed the centre of excellence being raised in Faisalabad by TEVTA at the cost of six million dollars. The JICA has also announced to upgrade 12 existing laboratories of TEVTA at a cost of five to six million dollars. TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh further appreciated the gift courses being offered at Government College of Technology with the collaboration of JICA.

It was further wished that JICA should assist TEVTA to launch auto-mobile courses for driving along with an institute.

TEVTA Manager PR Sahabzada Khuso, while talking to press and electronic media, informed that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was also apprised about the collaboration progress and satisfaction was expressed in this regard.
