PPP rejects SC verdict, demands PM’s resignation

ISLAMABAD: PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari rejecting the Panama verdict said on Thursday that the prime minister should tender resignation on moral grounds after the court decision.

Addressing a press conference here, Zardari said that he salutes to two senior judges of the Supreme Court. He said that we reject the Panama verdict. Country is heading towards crisis. Today, democracy and justice suffered damage in the country.

The former president said that the party would give its response to the decision after going through the complete version of the verdict. Majority of the junior judges joked with the nation. However, senior judges gave excellent judgment, he added.

“I had suggested Imran not to go to court. He is inexperience. His (Imran’s) decision has caused a loss to democracy and justice,” Zardari said.
