Imran, Zardari going mad with hunger for power: Saad

LAHORE: Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafqiue said on Monday that both Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari had gone mad with a hunger for power.

Addressing a press conference, the federal minister said that the Panama Papers had no legal worth and Pakistan is the only country where a legal proceeding was initiated into it.

It was prime minister’s suggestion to appear before court; he said and termed the entire episode a political war.

The political parties to the case - who were earlier claiming to accept the Panama verdict - are now going mad, Saad said.

He said that Mr Zardari and his son had been targeting the Supreme Court verdict since its announcement.

He questioned isn’t an attempt to influence the court a contempt? Zardari and Aitzaz Ahsan had directly targeted the Supreme Court. He said two of the judges gave a decision against us, terming it their right.

Saad advised parties not to drag national institutions into dirty politics.

The federal minister said that Asif Ali Zardari was ‘indulged in corruption’.
