KP CM celebrates Eid in his native Nowshera district

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak celebrated Eidul Fitr with his electorates in district Nowshera and remained busy in exchanging Eid greetings with guests in his Hujra at Manki Sharif. According to a statement issued here on Thursday, he spent two days at his native area while on the third day he remained at Chief Minister House Peshawar to meet government officials and general masses coming from across the province to exchange Eid greetings. Though the Chief Minister wanted to spend first day of Eidul Fitr with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) along with his party chief Imran Khan, however, at the last moment Imran Khan asked him to spend Eidul Fitr in his electoral constituency in district Nowshera and provincial metropolis. Imran Khan asked him that the party leadership and government office holders should spend Eid’s joyous moments among the people of the province and IDPs, which is in-fact their right wherein Khattak left for Manki Sharif by road after seeing Imran Khan off for Bannu. On Eid’s 1st day besides provincial ministers, members of national and provincial assemblies, Pervez Khattak met people from different walks of life and met delegations from far-flung areas of his constituency. He exchanged Eid greetings with them. On this occasion, the notables of the area while expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for taking concrete steps for bringing improvement in police, education and hospitals. The chief minister while expressing satisfaction over the results, said that in next phase a new era of progress and development would begin in the province including his electoral constituency which would be based on the basic principles of justice, transparency and merit and equal treatment will be committed to all and sundry.
