WHO provides medicines worth $250,000 for IDPs

ISLAMABAD: World Health Organization (WHO) has provided medicines of 250,000 dollars for internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency.
According to Radio Pakistan quoting sources of the organization, the medicines are sufficient to cater the needs of over 114,000 patients.
It has also given necessary equipment to District Headquarters Hospital Bannu.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the World Food Programme has so far distributed five thousand (5,000) tonnes of food items among IDPs from North Waziristan Agency.
According to Radio Pakistan quoting an official source that each IDPs family has been given ration for one month.
More than six hundred thousand individuals have benefited from it.
The source said the next round of distribution of ration among the IDPs will be launched from 10th of next month.
Only those families will now receive ration whose particulars have been verified by NADRA.
