Not to back any unconstitutional move: PM chaired meeting

ISLAMABAD: No support will be lent to any unconstitutional move, agreed a consultative meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah, leader of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Chief Mualana Fazl-ur-Rehman here on Tuesday.

They agreed to work in collaboration towards fortification of democracy in the prevailing political situation of the country.

Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rasheed and Minister for Railways Saad Rafique were also present in the today’s meeting.

It appears that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has intensified his consultation campaign with an aim to form a strategy to counter the anti-government march and sit-ins. The opponents of government’s rivals have also joined the consultative marathon.

While leaders of anti-government parties are frequently holding press conferences and issuing fiery statements, the government remains silently engaged in weaving its counter-strategy.
