Sartaj to attend OIC meeting on Gaza
Tasneem says no proposal for holding OIC summit on PalestineISLAMABAD – Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam on Thursday announced that Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will participate in the upcoming OIC administrative meeting, being held in Saudi Arab on August 12, on the latest situation in Gaza.
Addressing a weekly briefing here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the spokesperson said that Pakistan along with other Muslim countries has been making sincere efforts to solve the Palestine issue and to ensure peace in the region.
However, she said there was no proposal for holding OIC summit on this issue so far. She said Pakistan has also sent financial assistance of dollars 10,00,000 for the injured Palestinians.
