JI chief conveyed Imran’s message: Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq conveyed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s message, said Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.

Following the NSC meeting, the information minister told reporters a positive response would be given to Imran Khan’s message.

During the National Security Council meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the JI chief informed him that Imran Khan was willing to wind up the PTI long march if recounting on 10 seats was agreed upon.

Rashid told reporters that Imran Khan was yet to inform the administration of Islamabad about his program. He also said that if Dr Tahirul Qadri retracts his statement instigating workers, the government was willing to show flexibility on his issues.

According to Rashid Imran Khan was the only parliamentary party head who did not attend the NSC. He added that there was no historical example of the country’s leadership sitting on the same table.

Rashid informed the media that Prime Minister Sharif had approved measures relating to the needs of internally displaced persons.
