PML-N to blame if army intervenes: Imran
* PTI chief says any negotiations before August 14 out of question

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan declared on Friday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would be to blame if the army interferes in the present scenario.
He said it would not be his party’s long march but the “autocratic attitude of the Punjab government and emperor-like style of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif” which could become a catalyst for any “army intervention” in the days to come. “The coming Independence Day of August 14 will prove to be a defining moment in the history of the country. We will not leave the venue of the sit-in till we get our demands approved. I assure these demands won’t be unconstitutional or illegal, but we will make sure the present era of Sharif monarchy ends,” the PTI chief told a press conference at his Bani Gala residence.
“I won’t leave the agitation venue till demands are met. I will stay with workers, eat and stay with them at all costs,” the PTI chief said. Asked about the chance of rapprochement talks with the government and latest offers by government high-ups for direct talks, Imran categorically stated he would only meet the prime minister after the August 14 march and not before that. “Free, fair and transparent elections may guarantee democracy. Rigged elections will not protect democracy in the country, ” the PTI chief asserted when asked whether his agitation might lead the country towards anarchy and chaos. “PTI will apologise to the government if it fails to prove the ‘match fixing’ and ‘poll rigging’ during general elections of 2013,” Imran declared.Courtesy www.dailytimes.com.pk
