Qadri booked in murder case

LAHORE: The city police Sunday registered a murder case of the policeman against Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri, taking the total cases thus far registered against him to 4, Geo News reported.

Sources said that the case has been registered on the complaint of the father of deceased policeman Ashraf in Naseerabad police station here.

Police said that the case has been registered under section 302 and 324 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) besides terrorism and police encounter sections also included in the case.

Earlier, two cases were registered against Dr. Qadri, his party office-bearers and workers in Faisal Town police station, Lahore under sections of terrorism, violence, threats, police encounter and attempt to murder.

The case no. 660 has been registered for attacking on the policemen and case no.661 for snatching weapons from the policemen against Tahirul Qadri and his party leaders under Pakistan penal Code section 109.

These leaders allegedly instigated their workers for the attack on police and snatching weapons.
