Politicians should learn from Bhutto legacy: Khursheed Shah
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly & Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah on Tuesday said politicians including Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) supremo Dr Tahir ul Qadri should follow in the footsteps of Late Zulfiqar and Benazir Bhutto.
In an informal chat with journalists, Mr. Shah quoted martyred PPP leader Benazir Bhutto as saying “Democracy is the best revenge”.
He said Benazir Bhutto did in her life mention the names of her killers but never did she supported the idea of barging into their homes and kill them.
Shah further said democracy was not achieved by sitting on a bed of roses but by treading on a path littered with nails. “Patience is a trait every politician should have,” he added.
He said in current situation the silence of Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar is a big question mark.
