'Govt not to end with marches, protests'
Baloch says armed forces believe in supremacy of constitution, democracy

ISLAMABAD – Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch on Tuesday said that the present government came into existence with the power of vote and categorically stated that it would not come to an end with a mere march or protests.
Speaking in the National Assembly, the minister said there were individuals who talk about ‘Azadi March’ or claim to bring ‘revolution’ in Pakistan, unfortunately they have 33 members only in the National Assembly while Tahirul Qadri had not participated in the elections.
He asked the masses not to be be fooled by these people who have nothing to do with the country's progress. “The government believes in peace and not in using power to stop these protests,” he said. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced that he would resign if found guilty in the investigation of the 14 person's deaths in Model Town incident.
Baloch maintained that once the Model Town's report was made public, everyone would be surprised. The minister opined that Tahirul Qadri was conveying the message of Yazeed and not Hussainiyat as he (Qadri) was saying that those who return without changing the government should be killed.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demanded recounting in four constituencies of the alleged rigging including three from Lahore and one from Lodhran while PTI does not know that there was no such policy with the government to pass any order in this regard.
The minister giving details of the constituencies said that in two constituencies the decision has been made public and now the PTI chief has made fresh demands for holding elections while he did not have any complaints from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh.
He demanded all political forces to unite against the anti-democratic forces and make efforts to bring them on the right path. Referring to recently-held National Security Conference, the minister said that all political parties, sans PTI, participated in the conference that was held in support of the military operation in North Waziristan agency.
He criticized that if their hearts would have been transparent they would not have arranged this protest on the day of independence on August 14. Baloch questioned Tahirul Qadri that what he has done for the support of displaced persons of North Waziristan who claim to be the representative of 180 million people.
The minister categorically stated that the armed forces believe in the supremacy of constitution, rule of law and strengthening of democracy.
