Tehmina sees conspiracy behind long march
ISLAMABAD – Member of National Assembly (MNA) Tehmina Daultana has said that long march on the independence day is part of international conspiracy to weaken democracy in Pakistan.
Talking to journalists here on Tuesday, MNA Tehmina said that the federal government would not surrender to undemocratic demands of the protestors and would complete its five year constitution tenure.
She said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri had three meetings abroad. Qadri holds Canadian nationality while two sons of Imran were also foreign nationals and both of them were working on foreign agenda, she said.
The firebrand lawmaker said that her party laid a web of motorway across Pakistan and now it was working on various mega projects like Metro Bus and power generation but some elements don't want to see the country progressing and they were engaged in conspiracies against the government which came into power through heavy public mandate.
Tehmina said that her party was well aware of the grievances and it was utilizing all available resources to facilitate them. She said that Independence Day will be observed with national enthusiasm as masses have no interest in marches and protests and they want peace and resolution of their problems instead of indulging in any anti-democratic practice.
