Long march aims at fomenting violence: CM
APP

LAHORE - Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said an attempt is being made to foment violence in the garb of a long march and a so-called revolution.

Talking to PML-N delegations here Tuesday, he said in a democratic system, issues were resolved through negotiations, not on roads.

He was of the opinion that owing to politics of agitation, the country's economy was affected adversely adding that the nation would not forgive people who were responsible for the current situation.

Those, he said, doing negative politics wanted to push the country to darkness. He was of the view that there was no justification for long marches or sit-ins at a time when the armed forces were fighting against terrorists to restore peace in the country.

The chief minister expressed the government's resolve to lead the country to the road to progress and prosperity under the sagacious leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
