Demand of PM’s resignation is invalid: Memon

KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Saturday that it is incorrect to demand the prime minister’s resignation in currently scenario as there is a legal way to achieve that.

Talking exclusively to Geo News, the information minister suggested that the federal government should immediately hold dialogues with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on immediate basis. The matter should not be blown out of proportion and shouldn’t make it a matter of ego.

He said that peaceful protest is everyone’s right but to directly demand the prime minister to quit is inappropriate as there is a legal procedure to remove him.

Furthermore, Sharjeel Memon admitted that May 11 general elections were rigged as there were proofs of it.
