LAHORE – National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday said that he is ready to become a witness if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan is really going to marry once again after his unsuccessful marriage with Jemima Marcelle Khan, an English journalist and a campaigner.

Talking to journalists after a meeting with Jamat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq, Sadiq said that he would not comment on the statement issued by Imran Khan regarding his marriage, however, he was ready to be a witness in the wedding. On Saturday, jubilant Imran Khan spoke his heart out, saying he is pushing for a 'New Pakistan' because he doesn't want to remain single anymore.

Aleema Khan, sister of Imran Khan, early on Sunday morning also announced that she had chosen a perfect match for her politician brother to marry. “We have cherry picked a 'potential wife' for Imran Khan. The nuptials will hopefully take place shortly after the 'New Pakistan' comes into being, which, I must say won't take long,” she said in a Twitter post.

However, Aleema did not give any details on whether the PTI chief was formally engaged to his bride-to-be, her identity, and a tentative date for the wedding. Soon after the tweet spread, the PTI denied the news, saying Aleema had no Twitter account. “Aleema Khan does not have a twitter account. Someone is misusing her name in a fake account. So, please block it,” PTI leader Shireen Mazari also tweeted on the issue.
