Imran suggests Nawaz to step down for a month
* PTI chief says PM should ‘stay down’ until completion of judicial commission report regarding rigging in May 2013 general polls

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday proposed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down for one month till the completion of judicial commission report about rigging in May 2013 general polls.
He said that as long as Sharif stayed on his seat he would influence the probing process. “Nawaz Sharif knows that if fair investigation into rigging is carried out, it will be impossible for him to remain on his position,” Khan told the highly charged crowd. He promised his supporters that he wouldn’t back down from his demand of Sharif’s resignation.
Khan said that political rival of yesteryears have joined hands to save the “so-called” democracy. “Let us see whether these self-proclaimed champions of democracy establish the representative government in the country or Imran Khan. They have no concern with democracy, they have just vested interests,” he told the PTI supporters. He said that seeking help of Zardari would not help Sharif in saving his premiership. “Sharif will have to step down at any cost,” he said.
Imran Khan warned the government that placing containers on roads in the capital city will not stop the people, demanding his removal, from the sit-in protest. “We will not renounce protests and civil disobedience until PM’s resignation,” the PTI chief said.
He, once more, labelled Sharif as Hosni Mubarak of Pakistan. “His rule is a true replica of Mubarak’s. He also used to conduct controlled and fraudulent election in Egypt for over 30 years and the same was Sharif doing in Pakistan,” Imran said.
He said that Pakistan is a brave nation but its leaders are cowards. All the country’s wealth has been looted by a few persons and their cronies, he added.
“But now time has arrived that the people will snatch all their looted wealth from these corrupt rulers. I know that people have awakened. The coward rulers are also aware of it and this is nightmarish for them,” he said.
