Qadri thanks ISPR for clarification on army chief’s role to end political deadlock

INP

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri thanked Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) for telling the truth to the nation about army's mediation to end political deadlock between the government and the protesting parties.

“After clarification, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have moral courage to accept the truth,” Qadri told a private TV channel. “I was shocked to hear Nawaz Sharif's denial in National Assembly,” he said, referring to the prime minister’s Friday speech in the lower house of the parliament.

“We had not requested army to act as a mediator,” the PAT chief said. It appears that the prime minister did not take his cabinet and his Pakistan Muslim League-N party into confidence about his decision to invite General Raheel Sharif as mediatory, he said.
