Sindh CM suggests development proposals for PM to approve

‘3500MW electricity produced by coals in Sindh should be supplied to the province for its use’

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah put forward various development proposals in meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday.

It was his first meeting as the chief minister with PM Nawaz since taking oath.The prime minister congratulated Murad on becoming the chief minister of Sindh and wished him well. According to sources, both leaders exchanged views on cooperation between the federal government and the provincial government.

Among the issues that came under discussing during the meeting were arrears of electricity, National Finance Commission (NFC) award and the distribution of resources. Murad also put forward his demand that the 3500 Megawatt (MW) of electricity which was being produced by coals in Sindh, should be supplied to the province for its use.

Both leaders also exchanged views regarding the development projects. The chief minister put forth the proposal to include the Keti Bandar project as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
