Wassan issues show cause notice to Managing Director SSIC
KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce, on Monday, made a surprise visit to the office of Sindh Small Industries Corporation and issued show cause notices to the Managing Director and six other directors.
Employees of the SSIC complained to the provincial minister of not getting salaries since the past eleven months. Wassan assured the disgruntled workers that their salaries would be paid to them before Eid. During his visit, Wassan issued show cause notices to the current Managing Director of SSIC, Javed Sabghatullah and six other directors for not being on duty. He issued show cause notices to all officials and warned against taking strict action.
Wassan disclosed that instead of 326 employees there were 875 of them, out of which only 123 showed up for duty. Two female employees complained to the provincial minister of not having money enough to come to the office, at which Wassan gave them each rupees five-thousand and assured the other employees that their salaries would be paid to them before Eid.
