PML-N rivals want to create hurdles in way of progess: Shahbaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has said on Thursday that enemies of Pakistan and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are creating hindrances en route to development and that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is proving a bitter pill to swallow for them.

CM Punjab said in a statement that Pakistan has progressed rapidly under the guardianship of former premier Nawaz Sharif, but political rivals are constantly inflicting economic and democratic damages to the country.

“PML-N has always worked for the prosperity of people and is working on several mega projects. Unfortunately, those wanting political power are imposing heavy economic losses as well as trying to deter the democratic process,” he said.

Shahbaz further stated that Nawaz Sharif rules hearts of the people of Pakistan and his popularity will not decrease because he has always worked for the welfare of people.

“Nawaz Sharif rules the hearts of the people of Pakistan and no one can dare take him away from masses. Poverty and unemployment have been decreased due to solid economic policies of the PML-N and people salute Nawaz Sharif for his services for making the country economically viable and strong,” said the CM.

He further lauded Nawaz saying that the former PM has never compromised on his principles of serving the public and while doing so, has changed the destiny of the nation with his policies.
