Corruption of billions being committed in KP: Bilawal
MANSEHRA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Saturday said there was rampant corruption of billions of rupees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan comes out with a new lie every day.Bilawal also said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was guilty, not innocent.
“Mian Sahib! You are asking the people what is your offence and why has the apex court unseated you? Let me say that you are a criminal who has looted national wealth so the apex court has disqualified you forever,” he told a big gathering of the party workers here.
Bilawal said both the PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were the parties of traitors and people would reject them in the upcoming general elections.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan are running for prime minister’s office but I am the one who entered the politics to serve the people and create employment opportunities for all including the women. If you think I am sincere, support me,” he said.
The PPP chairman said that Nawaz Sharif was talking about revolution and rule of law but he always undermined democracy through conspiracies. Bilawal accused Nawaz Sharif of receiving money from al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden to destabilise a democratically elected government of his mother Benazir Bhutto.
“Nawaz Sharif, your GT Road show has flop. The talk of revolution does not suit you because you are the product of dictatorship. You never worked for the rule of law,” Bilawal said.
Criticising Imran Khan, Bilawal said the PTI leader always spoke lies about the performance of the provincial government. He added that Imran should also speak about the corruption of Chief Minster Pervaiz Khattak. He said Imran proudly talked about the Ehtesab Commission constituted by the provincial government.
“You are proud of arresting a minister of your government but what would you say about allegations of corruption levelled by that minster against your chief minister,” he asked.Bilawal also levelled allegation of corruption against Imran Khan, saying that his kitchen and helicopter of Jehangir Tareen was being run through the kickbacks received in awarding minerals contracts.
“We have not seen any change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the people are jobless and the hospitals lack facilities,” he said.
Bilawal said the PTI-led government had no role in defeating terrorism in the province.
“The incidents of terrorism came to a halt because of the sacrifices rendered by security forces, police and the people. Imran Khan has never spoken against the terrorists,” he went on to add.
“Mr Khan you say that a leader should be Sadiq and Ameen but you speak a new lie whenever you address a gathering,” said Bilawal.
He said that coming general elections in country would be his first and last of PTI chairman Imran Khan. The central and local party leaders also spoke on the occasion.
