JUI demands arrest of Dr Soomro’s killers

SANGHAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) took out a rally here on Monday against the killing of its leader Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro.
The leaders and activists of the party started marching from Eidgah to local press club where they raised slogans against the murder of their party leader Dr Khalid Soomro and demanded immediate arrest of his killers.
Speaking on the occasion, Maulvi Abdul Ghafoor Mengal and Haji Abdul Ghafar Qureshi said that Dr Khalid Soomro was killed through a pre-planned conspiracy in a bid to stop his struggle for rights of Sindh.
The enemies of Sindh do not want to hear his voice for getting due rights and that was why they killed him, the leaders said.
They said that government was not taking steps for the arrest of the killers. If the killers are not arrested, they would widen the scope of the protest across the country, the JUI leaders said.
