Ready to hold talks with PTI from Sunday: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday said that the government was ready to hold dialogues with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Talking to newsmen here, the Federal Minister said dialogue process can be initiated from Sunday if PTI wants, adding that Imran Khan-led political party demands a Judicial Commission having members from ISI and IB.

Mr. Dar further said that Judicial Commission can also be made under the constitution of 1956. He added that formation of JC through ordinance would not resolve the issues.

The JC itself can include ISI and IB men, he maintained.

Ishaq Dar urged PTI chief Imran Khan to sit on negotiation table and said Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) will leave the government if the commission proves ‘election rigging’.

On the other hand, PTI Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that nobody from the government has contacted his party for dialogues, saying that they were getting the news of dialogues from here and there.

“I don’t feel the government wants talks with PTI”, Shah Mehmood added.
