INP

LAHORE – Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has urged the government to bring an end to the political tension in the country and resume talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), adding that in case of a confrontation, the whole political process could be wiped out.

Addressing a large Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, Sirajul Haq said that the efforts made by him for dialogue were sincere and in the larger interest of the nation. He said that he would announce his road map for the “Islamic Pakistan” at the Mazar e Quaid on December 25.

He said that the grand JI Ijtema in the city last week and the people’s agenda announced by him had given a new hope to the masses in the country as also in other countries, and added that he would make every effort to unite all political parties on this agenda.

The JI chief said that if the oppressed masses supported the JI agenda, the tyranny and injustice would be eliminated from the country for ever. He strongly condemned the police torture on the blind persons in the provincial capital.
