Massacre of innocent children terrorism, not Jihad: Hafiz Saeed

LAHORE – Jammatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed strongly condemning attack on Army Public School (APC) Peshawar which claimed lives of at least 126 children has said massacre of innocent children in the name of Islam is not Jihad but terrorism instead.
In a statement issued after Peshawar attack, he said that Islam was religion of peace and harmony and never taught us to kill innocent children and women even in the war. He said that this was the coward behavior by militant attacking innocent children.
The JuD chief said that Islam never preaches terrorism and killing children was not Islam. He said that this was not the time for politics; our leaders should stand side by side leaving their matters behind. Earlier, as many as 126 people were martyred mostly students and some teachers in the horrific incident in Peshawar.
At least five to six militant had entered the school and opened straight fire and killed 126. The militants were also killed in operation of army security personnel.
