PTI refutes govt’s “zero load-shedding” claim

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has refuted the government’s claim of turning 65 percent of the country’s total power feeders to zero load-shedding.

“At least 42 percent of the feeders across the country are not load-shedding free,” PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said.

Federal Minister for Power Awais Leghari had claimed that maximum number of feeders would be turned to zero load-shedding from December 4.

He also claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had fulfilled their promise of making the country load-shedding free.

Earlier today, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzaib also made the same claim, saying the “time of darkness” is over.

However, PTI’s spokesperson rubbished her claim saying she was forced to make such false statements.
