Tahirul Qadri demands formation of JIT to probe Model Town tragedy
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday demanded formation of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the Model Town tragedy, saying Baqar Najfi report has laid bare details of hidden truth.
Talking to media along with Sheikh Rashid, he also warned the government that he might take to streets soon.
He claimed that the report prepared by Justice Baqar Najfi has also held Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif responsible.
Speaking at the press conference, Sheikh Rashid said deliberate attempt was made to amend Khatm-e-Nabbuwat Law to appease a super power.
He said he would continue to support the truth no matter how much criticism he faces from his opponents.
