Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference: Five PML-N lawmakers submit resignations to Pir Sialvi

LAHORE: At least five lawmakers of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) submitted their resignations to Pir of Sial Sharif Khawaja Hameeduddin Sialvi during the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat conference held at Dhobi Ghat ground Faisalabad on Sunday.

The custodians of various eminent shrines participated in the conference to pledge their support to Pir Sialvi’s campaign, calling for immediate resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

Five PML-N lawmakers including three members of the Provincial Assembly and two members of the National Assembly gave the power to Pir Sialvi to decide their political future.

Ghulam Bibi Bharwana from Jhang, Dr Nisar Ahmed Jutt from Faisalabad, Maulana Rehmatullah from Chinot, Ghulam Nizamuddin Sialvi from Sarghodha and Muhammad Khan Baloch from Jhang are the lawmakers who have announced to quit the party today.

In his brief address at this occasion, Pir Sialvi said that he had no political intentions.

“Our campaign resolves around the belief on Khatm-e-Nubuwwat,” he said.

He had claimed that the 15 lawmakers of PML-N would announce their resignations at the conference.

Moreover, the spokesperson of Pir Sialvi told the media that they were stepping up their campaign over non-fulfillment of their prime demand; the resignation of Rana Sanaullah.
