Chaudhry Sarwar joins PTI

LAHORE: Former Punjab governor Ch. Sarwawar has formerly joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insad after his meeting with Imran Khan at Bani Gala. Speaking to media, he said that he resigned from governorship since he could not done anything for people. He said the youth persuaded him to join Tehreek-e-Insaf during his recent visit to London. He said Imran Khan’s Opponents levelled allegations against him but couldn’t accused him of corruption. “Imran Khan is my leader and I agree with him over all the issues,” he said and added that he intends to end status quo in the country. He said Imran Khan ended his Dharna after Peshawar incident but the government has yet to announce judicial commission. PTI chairman Imran Khan welcomed Chaudhry Sarwar into the party. The PTI chairman called on Sarwar to put his efforts into the organisational structure of the party and help turn it into an institution. “The family based parties in Pakistan are the opposite of democracy,” Khan said. Khan added that Sarwar was a well known politician in UK and was close to former Prime Minister Tony Blair. He appreciated the fact that Chaudhry Sarwar was a self-made man who had risen due to his hard work.
