President for improved relations with African countries

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that Pakistan’s “Look Africa Policy” envisaged improvement in relations with African countries through frequent exchange of visits and enhancement of trade and visa facilitation. The President was talking to a delegation of Karachi Council of Foreign Relations members along with Africa Group Ambassadors/High Commissioners that called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. He said that a joint strategy could be chalked out to tackle terrorism in those African countries affected by it, in the light of experience of operation Zarb-e-Azb launched to deal with this menace in Pakistan. Offering condolence on the death of 21 Egyptians in the terrorist attacks by Daaish in Libya, the president said that African countries’ support for Pakistan at various international fora had been instrumental. He stressed that African countries should attend IDEAS 2015 EXPO to be held in November at Karachi as Pakistan was exporting state of the art defence equipment at comparatively better rates, a press release said.
