Asif expresses dissatisfaction over TMA performance

SIALKOT - Federal Minister for Water and Power and Defence Khawaja Asif on Sunday expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA). Addressing the people here at Muslim League House, he said that nobody would be allowed to waste development funds, and the persons involved in the malpractice would be taken to task. Taking serious notice on the complaints of citizens, he directed the TMO to take strict action against workers who were unwilling to perform their duties. The minister directed the TMO to take immediate steps to ensure the physical presence of workers on duty and take step for smooth flow of drains. The minister said that huge development funds were being spent on improvement of sewerage and city roads but due to poor functioning of sewerage system, the rainwater accumulated on city roads as a result of which people had to face hardships. He directed to take immediate step for channelizing the sewerage water for smooth flow. He said that overflowed sewerage water was damaging the city roads and streets badly which would not be tolerated and workers that were reluctant to fulfill their responsibilities should be terminated. On the occasion, the minister listened to the problems and complaints of the people.
