Threatening man at Pakistan embassy in Washington being questioned

WASHINGTON - A man claiming to be a Pakistani and seeking issuance of a passport without presenting any documents caused a stir at the Pakistani embassy, which had to call in the diplomatic security to deal with the threatening individual. According to the embassy, the unnamed individual was taken into police custody for investigation. In response to a query from the media an Embassy spokesman said, “A young man appearing to be in his mid 20s and claiming to be Pakistani citizen came to the Embassy of Pakistan Washington D.C today afternoon and asked for the issuance of passport without presenting any documents in support of his request.” Due to his threatening posture, the Diplomatic Security was called in. “The individual was taken into custody by the police for further investigation,” the spokesman said.
