Pakistan second biggest host to migrants
NEW YORK: Pakistan ranks second in hosting most number of migrants, with 16 lac immigrants living in the country, United Nation’s (UN) high commissioner for migrants said.
According to the statistics given by UN’s high commissioner, Turkey tops the list with 31 lac migrants and Lebanon is at third place with 11 lac settlers.
According to the report, Iran hosts nine lac seventy-nine thousand four hundred, Ethiopia seven lac thirty-six thousand one hundred, Jordan six lac sixty-four thousand one hundred, Libya five lac fifty-two thousand, Uganda four lac twenty-eight thousand four hundred, Chad four lac twenty thousand.
Sudan has three lac fifty-six thousand two hundred migrants, Italy one lac eighteen thousand forty-seven, Austria one lac fifty-three thousand one hundred nineteen, Sweden sixty-nine thousand five hundred twenty, France two lac seventy-three thousand one hundred twenty-six, and Germany hosts three lac sixteen thousand one hundred fifteen migrants.
