Burney sends SOS for assistance in 7 missing Pakistanis’ recovery

KARACHI: Ansar Burney Trust International Chairman and former human rights minister Ansar Burney has sent SOS appeal letters to International Committee of Geneva Red Cross ICRC, Saudi Red Crescent Authority SRCA in Riyadh and Qatar Red Crescent Society QRCS in Doha, that seeks assistance and coordination to resolve the mysterious incident of missing crew members of MV Jouya-8.

Besides seeking assistance for safe repatriation of seven Pakistani prisoners from war-torn territory of Sana’a, Yemen, Ansar Burney had also made a personal appeal to Geneva International Committee of Red Cross ICRC President Peter Mourer, Saudi Red Crescent Authority Riyadh (SRCA) Board of Directors Chairman Dr Tawfiqbin Fawzan AlRabiah and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) Doha President Dr Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Ali Al-Maadheed to assist and cooperate with Ansar Burney Trust International in their search to find the seven Pakistani crew members of Iranian Flagged Cargo Ship MV Jouya-8, which mysteriously disappeared from Yemen’s Red sea - after reports of it being hit by some missile attack.

Ansar Burney Trust International has been making hectic efforts to find out the truth behind the incident.

In this regard, a constitutional petition was already filed by the Ansar Burney Trust and pending before the double bench of Sindh High Court following the cold and negligent response of the government.
