Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad: Security forces nab 38 suspects

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army, Rangers and police conducted a combing operation in the cantt area of Rawalpindi on Friday and claimed to have arrested four people including three Afghan-Nationals on the second day of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

While during the search operation conducted in Safdar Abad, Fauji Colony, Qaid Abad, Boring Road, Bangash Colony and Pie Wadahi and arrested more than 38 suspected people and more than 100 people under the rent act.

In the operation commenced on Friday morning Quick Response Force of Pak Army, Rangers, Elite Force, Lady Police and the police of concerned police station took part in the joint operation.

On the tip of intelligence agencies joint team raided at the house of Gulab Zar Khan a borther of Zar Khan Chairman Union Council of Muzaffarabad and recovered illegal exchange, at least 85 cell phone, seven laptop, seven LCD, computer, charger and UPS ten pistols, one kalashnikov and 127 bullets.

It was learnt that the culprits who have been arrested from the said farmhouse used to send automated messages to random mobile numbers, promising them BISP grant worth up to Rs. 30,000.

Most of the arrested people belong to Bajur and Khyber and Malakand agencies.

It is pertinent to mention here that the federal government on February 22 approved Punjab government’s request to deploy 2,000 Rangers personnel across the province for duration of 60 days.

The Pakistan Army also launched Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad across the country to contain the recent wave of terror attacks in the country.
