Military courts is need of time not army’s wish: Gen Sharif
Army chief says political leadership should continue showing solidarity to end terrorism

ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Friday said that establishment of military courts was not Pakistan Army’s wish but it was the need of time as war against terror calls for extraordinary decisions.

According to reports, he expressed these views in the All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad. While addressing the participants, he said that Pakistan has reached a sensitive stage in the war against terrorism. The army chief said that as a nation they could not even think of losing the war against terrorism and that Pakistan would win this war at any cost.

General Sharif also said that the future of the nation would depend on the decisions they take in the present. He added that decisions made in the present would determine the destination of the nation. He urged the political leadership of Pakistan to continue showing solidarity towards the cause.

Gen Sharif also urged the participants to pay attention on the implementation of the decisions taken by all the members collectively. He said that after the situation gets normal, they would return to the usual system of the country.
