Pakistan Railways not among defaulters of PSO: spokesman

APP

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Railways is not included among the defaulters of the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and rumours in this regard are baseless.

A spokesman of Pakistan Railways told APP that both the departments have a mutually agreed system of payment on monthly basis. A system of reconciliation of payment and receipts also exists between the organisations.

Rejecting rumours about Pakistan Railways's reported default to PSO, the spokesman said in fact the PSO owed Rs 340.10 million of Pakistan Railways, adding that Pakistan Railways has to pay Rs 775 million to PSO. The spokesman said that Pakistan State Oil has to pay Rs 1.116 billion to Pakistan Railways by January 20 on account of fare of oil trains.
