Facilitating IDPs tops govt’s priorities: Pervez Khattak

BANNU: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said his government had imposed emergency in the province to provide maximum relief to internally displaced persons of North Waziristan Agency and the province was focusing on facilitating IDP brethren. Pervez Khattak who was visiting IDPs’ camps in Bannu told the newsmen that the provincial government had set up distribution points in forty union councils. He further said KP government would not leave any stone unturned in serving the brethren in time of test and turmoil. Earlier, appreciating Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rule in KP, the party chairman Imran Khan said the Khattak led provincial government was doing far better than other provinces. He said the PTI critics should acknowledge better performance and good governance of the party in KP. Imran further said despite being mostly effected by terrorism, KP government’s performance was remarkably good and the federal government’s 1.5 billion rupees grant for IDPs was also acknowledgement of better administrative reforms introduced in the province. Imran Khan has also convened PTI parliamentarians meeting in bani Gala Islamabad. The party parliamentarians would deliberate upon ‘Tsunami March’ towards Islamabad announced for August 14. Party chief Imran Khan would assign tasks to the parliamentarians regarding arrangements for the rally. Party sources further said the meeting would also discuss issues pertaining to IDPs of NWA in KP.
