ECC approves release of 60,000MT wheat for IDPs of NWA
ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet Friday approved immediate release of 60,000MT of wheat for distribution among the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
The ECC of the Cabinet met here under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar at the PM’s Office and was informed that the financial impact of the decision will be Rs. 2.28 billion.
It further decided to set up a Committee headed by Minister for State and Frontier Region (SAFRON) Abdul Qadir Baloch to ascertain the distribution mechanism among the IDPs.
The other members of the committee included Abbas Khan Afridi; Minister for Textile Industry; Secretaries Ministry of National Food Security and Commerce and a representative of Governor KPK. (APP)Courtesy www.thenews.com.pk
