Nawaz, Nisar meet in Raiwind

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan arrived in Raiwind along with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and held a five hour long meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N) sources said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was successful in eliminating some grievances of the interior minister and deadlocks which remained would soon be addressed.

Sources added that Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf has tasked Shahbaz Sharif with eliminating grievances of other PML-N members.

Hamza Shahbaz also accompanied CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Chaudhry Nisar.

On July 4, Shahbaz Sharif took Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar with him to Lahore from Islamabad after he failed to appease the later in a one-on-one detailed meeting.

Earlier, a delegation of 25 PML-N members arrived at the Punjab House and tried to pacify the displeased leader who is currently having differences with the main leadership over some issues.

Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq called on Nisar and requested him to attend the meeting, chaired by the premier, however, the interior minister refused to participate.

Sources told that PM Nawaz Sharif had arrived in Lahore from Islamabad where the premier would stay for three days.

The reasons for Nisar’s annoyance include non-compliance of the national Security Policy prepared by him, by-passing him during the process of peace talks with Taliban, not taking him into confidence over budget matters and NWA operation decision, sources said.
