Registration of N Waziristan IDPs begin after delay
PESHAWAR: The registration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from North Waziristan Agency began here following a delay of several hours.
According to the FATA Disaster Management, the process of IDP registration was scheduled to begin at 7 am but it started around 11 am.
The members of the affected families had reached the venue early morning and were waiting in long queues, however, the administration failed to show up on time.
The displaced persons kept on waiting under the open sky and scorching sun while no adequate security arrangements were witnessed at the venue.
The registration of the IDPs who arrived from different tehsils will be done in Peshawar from July 7 to 14 after which they will be entitled to receive Rs 5,000 cash, house rent and Ramzan package.
