Pakistan asks India to take notice of ceasefire violations

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Barjees Tahir has condemned the firing along the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian troops in Abbaspur area of Rawlakot in Azad Jammu Kashmir, resulting in injuries to a citizen.

In a statement here on Monday, the minister asked the Indian government to take notice of ceasefire violations by its army and prevent their recurrence in the future. He said that Pakistan and India were serious in resolving their disputes such activities by the Indian Army would complicate the situation.

He said that Pakistan has always desired for friendly relations with all neighbours including India and respected their borders. He cautioned that the repeatedly violations along the Line of Control in the disputed state would lead to tension in the region.
