Govt assures adequate resources to army
ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday assured adequate resources to the Pakistan Army for the military operation and facilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs). Dar held out the assurance to Pakistan Army Director General (Budget) Major General Muhammad Tauqeer Ahmad during a meeting. Gen Ahmad called on the finance minister at the Finance Ministry to discuss budget related issues. Dar said reimbursement on account of Coalition Support Fund was on track and emphasised that all relief measures for the IDPs should be combined to make them effective and efficient. Finance Secretary Dr Waqar Masood, Adviser to the Finance Ministry Rana Assad Amin, Additional Finance Secretary to Finance Minister Shahid Mahmood and senior officials of the Finance Ministry attended the meeting.
