Punjab prepares security plan on Youm-e-Ali (R.A)
LAHORE: Punjab government has prepared security plan and declared 9 district of the province including Lahore ‘sensitive’ on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (R.A) being observed on Sunday, Geo News reported.
The government while imposing section 144 on the routes of Youm-e-Ali processions, banned pillion riding and display of weapons. It has also directed to suspend mobile phone services.
The home department directed commissioners, DCOs and RPOs to strictly follow the security plan.
The 9 sensitive declared districts includes Lahore, Gujranawala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G Khan, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalpur.
Rangers have also been called in for security in Faisalabad and Rahimyar Khan.
