LAHORE – Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahir ul Qadri will not come to face him in an open debate challenge (Manazra).

He was commenting on a statement of a PML-N leader that Tahir Ashrafi was enough to counter Dr Qadri in an open debate challenge and no leader of the PML-N was needed. Ashrafi said there was a need to hold debate challenge with Dr Qadri on many issues, including political ones.

He urged the media and political leaders to arrange the debate between him and Dr Qadri and see the results. Ashrafi said the PAT chairman had arrived in Pakistan to create unrest and chaos. “There is no other reason behind visit of Qadri to Pakistan except creating unrest,” he said.
