PML-N urges Imran Khan to focus on KP governance

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Friday urged Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), to focus on the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and streamline the system in the provine.
He said there were challenges of good governance in the KPK areas while issues of polio and internally displaced persons should also be given serious attention. He said that provincial government should resolve problems of the masses in KPK areas. Talking to a private television channel, he said that Pakistan Army was conducting the operation successfully to flush the terrorists from this region.
The Minister said that there were some security threats, adding that call of PTI to lodge protest demonstration or long march could create problems of law and order situation. He said that terrorists could target the long march or hurt the people. Khawaja Saad Rafique said the present government and the army were engaged in fighting war on terrorism to maintain peace in the country.
He urged all the political parties particularly PTI and Tahir ul Qadri to desist from holding public meeting in currrent difficult circumstances.
The Minister said doors for dialogue were always open to resolve the issues. He said that there were some misunderstanding among chief of PTI or Tahir ul Qadri, and the government which could be removed after sitting on the table.
Replying to a question, he said that the government had formulated a plan to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner.
