PTI’s long march will be one-day event: Pervaiz Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information, Pervaiz Rasheed Tuesday predicted that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s long march will prove to be a ‘quick march’.
“On August 14 people will assemble and by the morning of 15 they will disperse,” he said while talking to media persons at the Parliament House here.
He said Imran Khan is being repeatedly reminded that it was time to look after the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and not to stage a long march.
Pervaiz Rasheed said Imran Khan was running a solo flight carrying his party’s 34 members of National Assembly. “The Parliament is still functional which clearly means that 307 members were not taking part in the long march,” he added.
He said it is clearly visible that the long march would be a one-day event.
Pervaiz Rasheed said no option including blocking the long march or putting Imran Khan under house arrest was under consideration.
